Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih
Narrator :
Once upon a time in a village there
lived a happy family consisting of mother, father and a daughter named
"Bawang Putih”. One day, Bawang Putih’s mother fell ill and later died. Bawang
Putih is very sad because her mother died, but her father remarried a widow who
had a daughter named Bawang Merah. Bawang
Putih is even more sad, because the harsh treatment of her stepmother and stepsister. One day, Bawang
Putih's father fell ill and died. At that moment, Bawang Merah and her mother
more cruel to Bawang Putih. Bawang Putih never rested. She had to do a lot of
homework, like looking for firewood, feeding cattle, and many others
Narrator :
This morning, Bawang Putih went to the river to wash dirty clothes. Without
realizing it, a clothes drifting in the the river. Bawang Putih chased it. But
she did not find it. He was searching the river and met a grandmother.
Bawang Putih :
“Excuse grandma..”
Grandmother :
“ Yes, my girl”
Bawang Putih :
“Grandma, do you see the scarf drifting in this river”
Grandmother :
“Yes, i see”
Bawang Putih :
“Grandma please return to me.”
Grandmother :
“ Yes, i will return it, but you must join to me a week, how?”
Bawang Putih :
“Okay grandma”
Narrator :
During the week Bawang Putih lived with the grandmother. Every day Bawang Putih
helped to do housework. Of course grandmother was happy. Until finally even
been a week. Grandma gave Bawang Putih reward, but she must choose one of them.
Grandmother :
“Please take one of them to you, Bawang Putih”
Bawang Putih :
“Thanks grandma, i will take it.”
Narrator :
Bawang Putih back to home. Arriving at the home, Bawang putih been greeted with
fury from Bawang Merah and her mother.
Mother :
“Where were you? a week did not go home.” asked her mother
Bawang Merah :
“ Yes. You know, the house is so messy because you do not clean the house.”
continued Bawang merah
Bawang Putih :
“ I am sorry. I went to look for your scarf drifting, mother.” clear Bawang
putih
Bawang Merah :
“Basic ugly!!! and this box? you look drifting in the river.” shouted Bawang
Merah, grabbing a box of Bawang Putih
and tossed. Unwittingly gold poured from the box
Mother :
“Wow gold. bawang merah look at this.” say her mother
Bawang
Merah : “Hahh!? Where you get this?”
ask Bawang Merah to Bawang putih.
Narrator :
Bawang putih and tell us all about the grandmother. bawang merah and her mother
then made a plan. The next day bawang merah went to the river and washed away a
scarf and pursue it. She met the grandmother. Bawang Merah then do as Bawang
Putih. but during the week she just lazing. Until finally even been a week, but
the grandmother did not gave anything to the bawang merah.
Bawang Merah :
“Grandma, where my box?”
Grandmother :
“This is. Please take one.” say Grandmother.
Bawang Merah :
“ I will take it. goodbye grandma”
Narrator :
Bawang merah quickly running back home. Arriving
at home that her mother is waiting for her. Fearing they jewerly be seized bawang putih. Bawang merah’s
mother ask Bawang Putih to wash in the river. Then when Bawang Putih went to
the river, they open the box.
Bawang Merah :
“Come on mom, open this box.” say Bawang Merah.
Mother: “Let’s
open my girl.”
Narrator :The
Bawang merah's box, does not contain gold or jewelry but venomous animals that
injure them. They then went from the village. Finally Bawang putih live happily
without cruel from bawang merah and her mother
